“Passionate Arsenal fan” is exactly the right way to describe Kathy Koomson.
Kathy, a 36-year old Senior Marketing Manager, based in Cheshire, has supported Arsenal since birth. Such is her commitment to the club that she even has a personalised number plate, incorporating A10 – the shirt number of one of her favourite Arsenal player, Dennis Bergkamp.
Her home contains framed pictures of the team and even a replica of Highbury, Arsenal’s former stadium. She regularly receives Arsenal birthday cards and even an Arsenal-branded birthday cake.
It goes without saying that Kathy is an Arsenal Rewards Credit Card holder. “It gives me reward points on merchandising and, as I am a proud supporter every time I go shopping it shows everyone who I support. I also like the fact that contributions go towards the Arsenal academy – the future of the club”.
On her best ever match, Kath, who has previously travelled to Paris for the UEFA Champions League Final, says: “My best ever match was on Valentine’s Day in 2007 at the Reebok. Just a great atmosphere, brilliant game and lots of love amongst the Arsenal fans, and getting through to the next round of the FA cup with minutes to go was the icing on the cake. I was on a high for days! Considering my husband is a Manchester United supporter, he is very understanding”.
